THE MOST DETAILED REPORT ABOUT THE EMERGENCY STATE IS PUBLISHED

Public sector workers who are purged from their jobs without any reasoning with Government Decrees during the Emergency State struggle to find jobs in the private sector because of being registered on the Social Security Database as ‘dismissed from a public job’. More than 48,000 people are arrested for their alleged links to the Hizmet Movement, and 100,000 people are detained. The most detailed report about the experiences of these people and their families is written by the Rights and Justice Platform. The report is based on online research with 7,548 participants between 24 September and 1 December 2017. According to the research investigating the social aspect of the oppression and violations of the rights during the Emergency State, 92 percent of the participants have higher education degrees. The report states that thousands of people are dismissed from their jobs, detained or arrested without knowing the reason or being provided with any lawful evidence.
