EU RECALLS ITS AMBASSADOR TO MOSCOW

Following a summit in Brussels to discuss the response to the Salisbury nerve agent attack, the European Unionhas recalled its ambassador from Moscow announced that it would take further measures against Russia. According to Der Spiegel’s news, following the summit in Brussels, EU leaders gave their full-throated backing to Britain by adopting a statement declaring it was “highly likely Russia is responsible” for poisoning Sergei Skripaland his daughter. The European Council statement added: „We stand in unqualified solidarity with the United Kingdom in the face of this grave challenge to our shared security.“

 

German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister of the UK Theresa May announced that they would stand together as a united Europe against threats posed by Russia.
