The trial of 55 people including a general started at Istanbul 14th criminal court as part of the investigation about Turkish Intelligence Organization’s trucks being stopped in Adana and Hatay in 2014. The judges decided the hearing to be held in closed session because of a state secret and national security issue. Lawyers for the defendants claimed there is no reason to hold closed sessions however the judges ruled the observers, relatives of the defendants and press to be removed from the court.
